Hello! We are really looking forward to our spring musical "Into the Woods."  Due to 'snowmageddon,' we were unable to have our planned parent meeting on Feb 13th.  Since we're rapidly approaching the final push toward opening night, we wanted to share some information and ask for your help via this email thread.  Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Extended Rehearsal Times Beginning This Week

Unfortunately, due to the snow days, we missed 5 rehearsals which means we're behind in our process.  To be ready for opening night, we need to make up this time so we are extending rehearsal times by approx 1 hour each day.  We will stagger cast member calls as best we can to limit the # of days they're at rehearsal later.  Rehearsal times are posted at http://www.westsidedrama.com/productioncalendar.  (Note: while we try to keep this as current as possible, please note that times can change.)

Also, as is true of every production, as we get closer to opening night, rehearsals will be longer and students will be home later. We work hard to get them home as soon as we can every day but, no matter how you cut it, preparation is time consuming. Please know that I want your kids to do well in school and I want them to get sleep - and - theatre is a commitment, and March is an investment. Please bear with us for a few weeks. We have high standards and put out strong shows which takes time, effort and trust.  Thank you in advance for your support!

Meals Needed During Tech Rehearsals - beginning March 9th.

When families provide meals during tech rehearsals, we are much more efficient. Shorter meal times enable us to work faster and hopefully get home earlier. We are hoping for your help providing meals for all rehearsals beginning March 9th. Get more details and sign up here.  (If you can't provide a meal, please consider donating toward the cost of a purchased meal ie: pizza or Subway, etc.  Well-fed kids concentrate better, work faster, and go home sooner!)

Help With Costumes, Set Build, Props, etc.
We always need help building, painting, organizing, etc. If you are available to help during build weekends, March 9/10, 16/17, 23/24, we'll be there 10am-4pm.  Come by any time!

If you're interested in helping with some simple sewing for costumes, please reach out to Jody Jinneman at 206-300-2959 or jinneman@quidnunc.net

Concessions - Donate Items and/or Work the Booth On Performance Nights

This is a great way to support the program. It's super easy and all proceeds benefit the Drama & Music programs. We need donations of bottled water, sodas, baked goods, candy bars, chips, etc. for the concession stand.  We also need folks to sell concessions each night.  Get more details and sign up here.

Spread the Word and Help Us Fill the Audience!

For every show we distribute posters to local businesses and the cast and crew purchase t-shirts to advertise the show.  Emails always go out to West Seattle Herald and West Seattle Blog.  We'd love your help promoting the show and helping us fill the audience every night!
